First, I wanted a cultivator. Had one lined up for a decent price but over a week long period of mumbling to myself, decided against it. I finally came to the conclusion that my 2660 doesn't have the ground clearance to make good enough use of it to warrant the money and having it sit there in the weather 95% of the time.
Then I was set on getting a 12" single bottom plow... went to a "plow day" event, had a lot of fun and was going to get a plow. I conceded that I really didn't need it but was going to get it anyway just for entertainment. Did some research, found the best price and set a date to make the road trip to get it. Then I mumbled to myself for a week or three and decided against it this morning, at least for now. Someone pointed out that if you set a 12" plow at the depth it's intended, lack of ground clearance has both the 2660's axles in the dirt. I suppose it's not a huge issue except for that steering knuckle boot that likes to tear.
Then there's the pto tiller.... First, it was the KKII down at Tractor Supply. Last one on the lot. They're switching to Tartar. Almost signed up for their 12 months interest free credit card to get it. When I realized that it was a CC, I tore up the paperwork. Did some checking around for cheap credit, gave up and started an automatic transfer to my savings to get one this fall. It was going to be the KK XB or the Taylor-Pittsburg equivalent. Now I'm second guessing that... If I end up trading to a bigger B series at some point (5-8 years), I will want the regular 48" KK since it's offset. I don't think the XB is, but I need to check on that.
:confused2: I need some therapy... LOL
