Thanks to the forum advice, I waited for a decent box blade to show up on craigslist and my patience paid off. I just got a Cammond 4c2 box blade, 76 in wide, hydraulic scarifiers and 1200 pounds of dirt moving steel. I am more than a little thrilled. On the way home I stopped by the JD dealership and also picked up a pallet fork attachment for help around the farm.
I've got one set of rear remotes to work the scarifiers but I've found that the blade is too heavy to adjust the tilt of the blade without some finagling of the 3ph. I guess I have a new project now to get an extra set of remotes.
Here is my new pallet fork
Here it is one the tractor. Lucky me the previous owner welded in a hitch receiver so I can cross that off the list.
I touched up the rust and decided to repaint it to match the tractor.
This thing is a beast. I can't wait to learn to use it.
