Kubota L45
I am in DESPERATE need of a rotary cutter for my property. I have a Kubota L39, with about 30hp at the PTO. I figure a 5' should fit well with my machine, right?

Tractor Supply has the Countyline Rotary Cutter on sale this week for $900.
Everything Attachments has quite a few offerings from $900-$2000. I kinda like the flex hitch model. With a slip clutch it is $1050.

What should I do?

I have your L39's little brother (B26) and I run a 5' King Kutter rotary cutter and have zero problems with it. I would think the 39 should be able to handle a 6' no problem. FYI- I bought the King Kutter in August last year new and it was $1100 including tax and delivery.

the slip clutch is nice depending on the need if you tend to hit things Good if not maintance of it defeats having it in my eyes you have to keep it tightened just right oiled during off months or it rusts on friction plate
I am on 2nd year of cutting with my used Woods 5' brought off CL for less than$400 pin no problems I changed the gear oil and sharpened the blades.

Countryline is only handeled by TSC Parts?

what are the ones from EA.com

I know a landpride 5' was on CL here Dallas at Kubota dealer new for $988 shear pin

But you should be able to handle a 6' no problem

OK, scratch the 5' idea. We go 6'. That will be 20% quicker!

Watch the weight difference between the 2. If I run a quality 6ft on my 35hp tractor it is quite lite up front compared to the 5ft.

My loader is not removable (at least not quickly) so I can easily choose to keep the bucket on if that is a problem.

Must be a regional thing. Definitely $899.99 in my area.
