Finally got to use my new grapple today. Live on a large lake that when flooding occurs, debris washes downstream and covers my beach with logs and brush.
Purchased a 48' Markham, aka Gator, last fall. Wow does that make life easier. Use to spend a couple of weekends with a chainsaw, cutting and stacking burn piles, now its all done in less then a day, and without the need for pain medication.
I would stay with the 48" e.g. less weight and less strain on the FEL, yet works great for me. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the trees my 3130 Kubota and the grapple were able to handle. Especially loved the HST for restricted maneuvering.
