Rotory Stump Cutter
This is really amazing. Never seen anything like it.
I'm amazed at how it's geared down like it is, but I realize it needs massive amounts of torque. Check out the way it moves the tractor! It's pretty clever if you ask me.
In the second video, look at the way it twists the frame of the tractor from about 1:10 on to the end. Looks pretty tough on the machine.

On the links in previous posts, it works if you click on "Youtube" but not if you click on "John deere." It looks like one link but it is two.

Re: Rotory Stump Cutter
It's a funny link for some reason. Click on the part that says 'youtube', not the 'john deere' part.
edit: sorry to repeat. bcp beat me to the post.

Re: Rotory Stump Cutter
Why do they have them rotating CCW?? Doesn't seem like it would make any difference to rotate either way, but both of those models are shown going CCW like there may be some advantage rotating that direction??
I bet they cost a chunk of pocket change though!Nothing could be finer than riding my JD790 in South Carolina!!
