Thanks for the offer, but I think I am going do some minor restoration before selling it. It does need a little TLC in a few areas. It was not shed kept so it needs some rust knocked off. Also, the fertilizer wasn't cleaned out real well after the last use and you know how corrosive fertilizer is. It needs some penetrating oil on some strategic areas to loosen everything up. I am going to tinker with it a little before putting it up for sale.

Mind if I ask where the auction was?

Funny thing about that auction. The farm that sold was partly in Tennessee and partly in Kentucky. The state line split it. The Tennessee part was in Sumner County just north of Portland. I see you live in Sumner County 56FordGuy. So do I. Small world.

If it was full of fertilizer, and got rained on, it might be completely rusted out in the fertilizer hopper.:2cents:

The hopper itself is fiberglass so no problem there. The agitator shaft is pretty rusty. In fact, one of the agitator wheels is missing and another one is loose on the shaft. It would be nice if that shaft could be replaced, but I'm betting it would be hard to find one. Anyone know if a replacement shaft is available anymore? I think some of you really talented fabricators out there could make one if need be.

I've been wanting to start going to auctions, but always seem to have something else that needs doing.

If you do need to have a shaft made, let me know. My neighbor owns a machine shop in Gallatin, he could probably make one for you.
