you stepped into 2 great deals at that auction.
Ken: Where would be a good place to find that missing tail wheel, or is it something that is all that important in use?
Thanks for the offer, but I think I am going do some minor restoration before selling it. It does need a little TLC in a few areas. It was not shed kept so it needs some rust knocked off. Also, the fertilizer wasn't cleaned out real well after the last use and you know how corrosive fertilizer is. It needs some penetrating oil on some strategic areas to loosen everything up. I am going to tinker with it a little before putting it up for sale.Man i would love that planter! I give you 250 as it sits. Assuming we can meet!
Mind if I ask where the auction was?
The hopper itself is fiberglass so no problem there. The agitator shaft is pretty rusty. In fact, one of the agitator wheels is missing and another one is loose on the shaft. It would be nice if that shaft could be replaced, but I'm betting it would be hard to find one. Anyone know if a replacement shaft is available anymore? I think some of you really talented fabricators out there could make one if need be.If it was full of fertilizer, and got rained on, it might be completely rusted out in the fertilizer hopper.:2cents:
