Hi Guys,

I may pick up a used Wallenstein BX42 Chipper tomorrow. I have a dump trailer and I'm wondering if any of you have ever tried chipping directly into a trailer? I'd like to be able to fill the dump trailer and then go dump the chips where I want them.

The chipper is a 2006 model that hasn't been used since 2008. Its virtually brand new. The guy wants $1,900 for it. New they are $2,850. He probably paid about $1,900 for it when he bought it. You think that's a fair price given the cost of the new models?

I have only used mine while dumping into a trailer (small dumping kind your tow behind a lawn tractor). Works good. I put a small piece of plywood on the side the the chips hit to keep almost all in the trailer.

Yes $1900 is a good price.

I do the same!

Good price! :D Just check & adjust the blade clearance when you get it!

Enjoy!

I do. Then, haul the chips directly to the trees to apply the mulch. My trailer has open sides, so I just throw some old plywood in there.
