Default My Ford 2600 needs a front end loader, I need some HELP

    Hey fellas,
I recently purchased a Ford 2600 and would like to put a front end loader on it but I'm at my wits end trying to find one that fits without a ton of work. I'm sure some of you have some models that will work so can you help a guy out by letting me know what front loaders would work?. I think a koyker 210 is one model and possibly a Ford 776B,. You guys got anything else out there? And better yet do you have one to sell that won't brake the bank...

There's a New Holland 270 TL loader with bucket for sale here in SC, or at least the ad is still up on CL. I have NO idea what other tractors it could be adapted too, though, so it would be on you to research it and see if it will fit or not. I think that model loader usually gets installed on tractors in the 60 hp range, so it may be too big for your 2600.

This link will give you the spec's on the 270TL loader.

It's only the loader with cylinders the upright masts, and a quick attach bucket (and quick attach frame for loader). NO mounting brackets included and NO SCV to operate it. The seller is asking $1999, but he's had it up for sale for a long time and he's motivated.

There is also a Bush Hog 2387 loader available in my area with cylinders and upright masts, but NO bucket, no SCV, and no mounting brackets for $850. That might be a better option if it will fit your tractor. According to the ad, it's new and never been installed. The manual for that loader is online and you should be able to google it. It might give you some dimensions, and other spec's.

Other point to consider... does your 2600 have power steering?? That's always nice to have with a FEL. Honestly though, if you really need a FEL, it might have be better to just sell the tractor (even thought you just bought it) and go buy another one with a loader already installed. That's probably not what you wanted to hear, but good luck...
Nothing could be finer than riding my JD790 in South Carolina!!

Basically anything that fits the 2000-3000 -2/3600 will fit.

Its got the good old 1939 front axle design, so remember, its not a payloader.

Soundguy, what does that mean "not a payloader." ? Axles aren't built very well? Can't move a lot of material ? it does have Power steering and runs great. I think I found a Superior FEL that needs a little modification to work but, oh well. I didnt know putting on an FEL would be such a hassle, or cost sooo much!

Some people think putting a loader on a farm tractor turns them into this:

The front axle is fine for ag work, but as you hit bigger fords, like the65+ 4000+ non SU machines, or most of the industrials, you got a better front axle.

They are still better than a bucket and wheelbarrow though.

I move 1000-1200# hay rolls with a superior loader on a 1955 ford 850 with power steering. It complains, but can manage it sparingly. Your 2600 has a better os setup than my 850, but our front axles are near identical. I might have a few more ponies but yours I newer and uses much much less fuel
