I just got a woods rear blade and tried to find it on the net, without any luck. The blade I got is a RB72 but looks nothing like the one they list with the same number. The one I got has a 3 1/2" round tubing across the front with 3/4" plate on the ends for the pins for the lower link. The main body is 4 1/2" square tubing. Has five angle settings foreward, and three backward, plus it tilts right and left 15 degrees, and was manufactured in 1998.

Bud I'm not being a smart allick here. But, are you sure it's a Woods blade? Is it a tannish color or a brownish or a beige color on the paint? The reason I ask this is because Woods has bought up alot of other companies and still uses the same designs. They have bought up Gill Gannon and now Tisco just to name a few.
Could it be a Landpride?

Never gave it much thought that it may not be a Woods. It is a brown kind of a color, and looks like it's sturdy enough. It was made in Oregon Illinois, if that is any help. Someone traded a B2400 (53 hours) with a loader, rear finish mower, and this rear blade. The blade was never in the ground. I stop up once in a while and mess around in the shop, so when I tried to buy it, he made me an even swap for my light duty King Kutter type blade. Don't know what's with these B2400's. He also has another one with 103 hours with a woods loader and backhoe. Both tractors were traded in for larger tractors.

I also have a Woods RB72 and it is exactly as you describe. It is in the Woods printed brochure. Woods is based in Oregon, IL. There are several different designs available ranging from moderate duty to heavy duty. The RB72 is a moderate duty design--at the lower end for Woods, but much more rugged than many other competetive units in the same price range.

Well Bud looks like you do indeed have a Woods rearblade!!!
And by the sounds of it you got the deal of the day to say the least.

Re: Woods rear blade Model RB72

JackIL,

I just picked up a WOODS Product Guide (2000) from my local JD dealer. I'm looking into the RB72 rear blade and was quoted a price of $420. Comparing this to what you paid, is this a reasonable price?? Thanks
