Anybody got an opinion on a Bush Hog rollover blade? Price on a 72"? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Did you ever notice how so many different brands of implement look exactly the same? I have a 4' Gill roll over box blade which looks just like the Bush hog roll over box blade. The Gill is a first class piece of work. With a roll over you can work forward or reverse or you can pull the blade backwards to level and pack. The scarifiers are easier to use and you can sink them deeper that a regular box blade. Most people don't want to spend the extra money but they are really nice pieces.

I only looked at one once, and like Pennwalk said, the only reason I didn't buy it was the price. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I have a box blade made by Gannon. Don't even know if they exist anymore. I took my tractor in for service and the box blade was on it. When the dealer returned it to me, he told me alot of customers saw it on my tractor and wanted to know where I got it and if I would sell it. It is very HD. From the seat of the tractor I can change it to push, pull, or dig. I have put in alot of trails through the woods, driveway work, etc. Using it and my FEL, I can do just about anything in the way of trail building and road repair. Highly recommend it. Get one that is made of heavy steel, not a cheap light one.

Gannon is part of Woods now.

I have a 52" Gannon. I went and got a regular box scraper too. I like the regular box scraper for average work. I save the roll-over box for heavy ripping, and grading. It is GREAT for smoothing a gravel drive. It is good for excavating too. It seems to be more purpose built than the jack of all trades, journeyman of none standard box blade.

It is also heavy compared to most standard box blades...
