I have also fell into a lot of good deals over the years. Starting with a 8 ft Brillion cultipacker that I gave a nieghbor a case of beer for about 20 years ago. (3) years ago, I paid a co-worker $100 for a wagon load of stuff that included (2) 3-section drags and an 8 ft JD pull-type disc that is by far the finest disc I have ever operated. I sold the 6.5 ft Dearborn 3-point disc that I had been struggling with for years ($450), shortly after the first time I used that JD pull-type. Last year, I found a 4 ft Brillion cultipacker at a garage sale for $40 that I fixed a couple wheels on (stole form my 8-footer which was too wide to use effectively anyhow), and sold for $300 this spring. This summer I picked up a truckload of stuff that included another 8 foot Dunham cultipacker and a 12 ft 4-section drag for $100. There still are some deals out there but $300/ton steel scrap prices is making them a little more elusive.

I have two of those... One says that we were married in 1907, the other says that we were married in 2007. We like to joke that it was truly a match made in heaven.

I bought a Massey Ferguson #39 2-row planter off of Feebay a few years back. I got it well below market value, and was happy enough just to haul it home. While I was there, the seller asked me if I wanted "some other Massey parts". SURE! I ended up getting a set of front wheel weights, a full set of rear wheel weights (starter weight and 2 additional weights per side), a couple 3-point drawbars, and a remote hydraulic valve for 100 series Massey's.....all tossed in for free after I paid for the planter. I ended up selling the remote valve and the weights for more than I paid for the planter. Still have it.

I got a 6' rear blade from a neighbor for $100. I don't know the brand but it's pretty heavy duty. Got a new subsoiler (think it's made by Hawkline) for $75, and a new Leinbach phd with a 12" auger included for 450, which I thought was a good deal. I used the phd and sold it for what I paid for it...I wish I had it now though!

would have to be the 60" commercial mower deck I scored for 10.00 from the Salvage yard back last year,... Earlier this summer I finally got around to doing the 3 Pth conversion, probably spent another 25.00 on materials and a few welding rods & paint to bring the total sum up to 35.00 having in a finish mower, been working out great:thumbsup: although with all this hot/dry weather I haven't got to use it as much as I hoped for,
