Went to hook it up on my Kubota L32, and I have a brand new grader scraper (Cat1) and a brand new LandPride york rake (Cat1). Neither one seems to work with this hitch. I'm having a problem with the top hook connection. The bottom parts connect well, but not the top hook.

All are supposed to be compatible quick connect. Before I return this, any advice?

I've had the same quick hitch for about three years now and love it; wish I had it years ago. I never attempted to use the top hook as most of my stuff is not QH compatible. HF sells an adaptor to be used instead of the hook. I don't have the part number handy, but I ordered it on-line. I recommend buying the adaptor.

Beware, not all quick hitches fit all implements.

I had top hook bolt interference. I riveted it into place in the lower (15 inch) position. (Welder not wired yet)

I have had a HF quick hitch with a hydaulic top link for a couple of years. I had similar problems hooking up to some of my implements. I fabricated an adapter similar to what HF sells as an option and do not use the hook. I have to get off the tractor to put the pin in the adapter but with the hydaulic top link it only takes a few seconds to line up the holes and I am on my way. I would not be without a quick hitch from the standpoint of convenience so if I were you I would not return it as I believe you are going to have the same problem with most other brands of quick hitches.

I have one also. I had to modify mine to make it fit and I don't use the top hook that came with it. I just use a pin through the holes.

Well it IS from Harbor Freight.

You have nice implements.... buy a good quality quick hitch too. Good luck!

I bought one a while back when they had them on closeout. I had to make some minor mods to a couple of my implements. The only one I can't us it on is my finish mower as the pto shaft hits the top of the quick hitch.

If your problem is that the implement top pin seems to be too big to go into the hook on the HF hitch, the problem is with the HF hitch. The way they make the hook the opening is slightly smaller than the standard requires. On mine, a little time with a grinder increased the opening and made it work.

The other problem that can happen is that the hook won't go all the way to the pin because the frame hits the hook pins. If this is the case, you need to modify the hook attachment pins so they don't stick out. The link below shows how I did it.

I have the HF hitch and it works OK but unless you like spending time remanufacturing new things it probably isn't the best deal out there.
