Does anyone have any experience with these. From the best I can tell, the one I am looking at is a model C2560. It's a 5' tiller and seems to be build very heavily. It has 6 flanges w. 4 tines each. It is chain drive. It has a 7 1/2" offset, it weighs 517 lbs. It comes w. a New PTO shaft & slip clutch assy.

I'm looking at this as a package deal w. several other implements and an old tractor. I already have a great Bobcat CT230 tractor, but need some more implements The deal I am looking at includes the C2560 tiller(seller says it's 3 years old), a 6' 3t disc (older), a 5' KK box blade(2years old never used), a 6' KK scraper blade(2 years old, only used a couple times), a 5' brush hog(older, not sure of brand), and an older 3pt 2 bottom plow. All this, plus an old Allis Chalmers WD45 that looks to be in good condition. It has been converted to 12 volt.

Just out of curiousity, what would give for this package? I see that the tiller is pretty expensive, not sure how it compares to other brands. Any help would be appriciated.

I have a smaller version of the Farm King Tiller. It's served me well. It has spent many hours breaking up 50 year old sod on glacial Drumlin. Lots of small rock. Lots of big rock. It survived with several new chains and tine replacements.:D

HI,

I have a 2560 that I use with a B3030. Love it. In fact it's one of our most used implements. It was supposed to be a 4560, but due to a little "mix-up" at the dealer I ended up with a 2560 and a refund of the difference. I'm only 23 HP at the PTO so it's probabley a good fit for the 3030 anyway.

It's taken some real heavy use in clay soil and is holding up very well. It has developed a slow leak in the gear box seal, but I simply top up once and a while and have not bothered to replace it. I have broken one tine, but is was easy to replace.

I must admit the one issue is that I am not confident that the slip clutch is function properly, even after being dismantled, cleaned and then slipped. If you get it I suggest a cleaning and slip it before engaign it and putting it to use. I did connect with Buhler on the issue and they were very helpful. They confirmed I had the correct Slip clutch for the tiller and actually sent me a part I felt needed replacing free of charge.

Hope this helps. Depnding on your land and hobies, i'm sure you'll find it a usefull attachment.

Oops. Forgot to mention that I have broken the chain a couple times...which I contribute to the slip clutch. However, one time it was my fault for not slipping the clutch after it sat for a few months... :ashamed:

It was a relativley easy, if somewhat messy fix.

Thanks for the confidence booster. Good news is that this unit is coming w. a brand new PTO shaft and slip clutch. Apparently the previous used didn't cut the shaft to match the tractor and damaged it.

The previous owner has also relpaced the chain. I could see that it has a brand new chain because he has the housing off right now.
