So, I have a few attachement questions for various things (I have searched to find the answers and these are the ones left):

1. I have an Agco 3709 manure spreader with a spread/clean switch the spring was hanging off the opening (not attached to anything), does anyone have a picture or drawing of the connection points?

2. Are there standard PTO linkage (the whole thing) lengths? If so what are they?

3. What is the biggest chain harrow I can attach to my tractors, they are utility size? How do you attach it? (Currently I am using a tiny drag with a ATV, to drag 3 acre fields:confused2:)

4. Draw bar stablizer, should I get one for the draw bar?

5. Why do they sell the pump separate from the sprayer? I have been told only buy new sprayers, but can I get a used pump?

I wish I could remember to write down all the questions I have while sitting on the tractor, a voice recording doesn't work all I hear is tractor rumble...

Thanks in advance guys!:D

Me = not qualified to asnwer

No, each PTO SHAFT is mated to the impliment and matched for HP and length. You SHOULD NOT use the same PRO shaft on multiple attachments.

3. What is the biggest chain harrow I can attach to my tractors, they are utility size? How do you attach it? (Currently I am using a tiny drag with a ATV, to drag 3 acre fields:confused2:)

I am not 100% sure, but I would think about one PTO HP for each 5 SqFt of harrow.

4. Draw bar stablizer, should I get one for the draw bar?

YES! Excessive side-to-side play in the lower links will cause rapid wear of the joints and can even allow attachments to rock/swing while in use, which is not what you want. The best stabilizers attach to the OUTER SIDES of the lower links so you can easily swing the links off the attachment for hooking/unhooking. Stabilizers fitted to the INSIDE of the lower links require you to loosen the stabilizers to install and remove attachments :(

5. Why do they sell the pump separate from the sprayer? I have been told only buy new sprayers, but can I get a used pump?

Some pumps can only pump water or mild chamicals, they are FAR less costly than the "chemical resistant" pumps. Also and probabally more importantly, you DO NOT want to cross-contaminate your pumps, sprayers, valves and hoses with different chemicals. The pump *should* stay with the tank, so with multiple tanks, you have multiple pumps.
