I have a Kubota with a sub-frame mounted backhoe, it uses a seat that mounts to the back hoe which worked fine but now I have added a Canopy and can't use the seat with the canopy due to head clearance. The canopy is mounted to the top of the rops and would need to be about a foot higher for head room to use the seat on the backhoe, so I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem or use a different seat method for a sub-mounted back hoe, maybe modified the tractor seat to work sort of like a full size back hoe seat does or something. Any pics of your seat seat ups would be great thanks.

I don't have a BH but I once used a friends tractor that had one. He had the same problem but with head room using his stock canopy mounts. He made new brackets (L shaped steel plates) that U-bolted around his ROPS that raised the canopy about 10-12" higher. You may have to make some too.

Thought about mounting it higher but the canopy is tall enough as it is hate to raise it another foot. That being said I have thought about making some sort of extendable mount that I could raise the canopy while using the BH and lower it when the BH is not needed.
