Box Scraper What do you find your box blade useful for OTHER THAN grading/ leveling?

I adjust the toplink so it's rolled forward with the scarifiers sticking down, and it's fantastic for snagging and loosening those big, suitcase-sized rocks you're trying to dig up. It slides them up and across the ground, then you can come around and work them into your FEL for disposal.

Sounds like a good way to get those stubborn rocks out.
I'm hoping that the combination of my HD box blade and FEL grapple will make a good little land clearing machine! I'll be putting it to the test this fall. :)

I use mine for snow removal I will put the FEL down and float it and use the scraper to slice an extra layer of snow off, generally it will go down to the gravel. When it fills up and stalls the tractor I just lift it and move up and start again. We only get maybe one good storm a year and a foot at most. I've been wanting a single blade but need a tiller first.

We recently moved to a new farm, It has about a 5 acre pasture and the prior owners were the type who had a junk pile here and a junk pile there and another junk pile over here and by the way the another junk pile over there. The weeds had all grown up in the pasture around all these junk piles so I decided to take my 641 Ford with the box blade and just drive around with the box about 4 inches off the ground. You would be surprised at what all I found some of the stuff I could see before I started, but alot I found with the help of the box blade.

I hang 6 suitcase weights on mine and use it in lieu of a ballast box....as it's fairly compact (5'er). The weights help it to penetrate when grading too. The weights hang securely on the frame and on the sides of the BB. Add about 300 lbs out back plus about 350 lbs ? for the BB.

I have a receiver hitch on the BB and on my loader bucket for towing trailers. I have a ball mount with a 6" drop (shown) which works pretty good on either end of the tractor.

Good idea. I could use my winch with that too.

I use my boxblade as ballast and to skid logs.
