Help!

I'm looking for the best deal on a post hole digger. I have been looking for a Land Pride PD15 with 9" auger. The best price I have found on the internet is $740. If you know of where I can get better pricing, please reply.

Thanks.

I own several LandPride attachments and they do make nice stuff. They are also very expensive - for not only the implement, but for parts. I have a 6' rake that I bought guage wheels for at over $200.00 :((((. Unless you are using an auger for a business or more than a few hundred holes I would think twice about LandPride. I did 60 holes last year for a fence and a $350 Central Tractor Post Hole Digger has worked fine. Sorry for answering a question that you did not ask.

RJ...care to share where you got parts for your LandPride implements...I bought a used 8 foot rake w/wheels and a 66inch scarifier (they attach together, the scarifier attachs to the tractor and the rake attachs to the scarifier, or you can use either seperately) over the weekend from a local dealer (who does not sell Landpride equipment new). The rake is missing two tines and a need to replace a few other minor parts...do you have an on-line or mail-order source for replacement parts?

Also, I paid $1000 for the 8' rake/scarifier combination...I started to feel like maybe a paid a couple hundred too much...anyone have an opinion on this?

The gauge wheels at (over) $200 came from a LandPride dealer. I do not know of any other less expensive source. I paid somewhere around 750 for the 7' rake (which I eventually trimmed down to 6') for a grand total of 950 +/-
Your deal sounds pretty good to me for a 'decked-out' rake.

Actually, I think I forgot to mention that the rake/scarifier/wheels were used...so I guess while it may have been an OK price, it wasn't a steal...oh well, live and learn...

You did specify that the rake / scarifier was used, and I still think 1k was a fair price. I didn't know LandPride made a combo like that... I have seen a rake with a swing down blade though. My main use for the rake is maintaining a long gravel driveway so the scarifier would be of little use to me. I can see how it would be a perfect combination for smoothing out dirt etc..
