Re: A bit ticked at Agri-Supply (re Caroni mower)
I have ordered from agri online, and even though the parts are 3000 miles away, things seem to be right. I have not had to contact customer service, but good to know that they are looking for all this other feedback.

Re: A bit ticked at Agri-Supply (re Caroni mower)
I felt I needed to let you guys know how things worked out. Mike Corbett, the assistant manager of the Garner Agri-Supply, took very good care of me.
When he saw their 2 remaining new, unassembled, mowers of my type were also 2008 production, he found an unassembled 2011 model at a nearby location, trucked it in and had it assembled for me. Please note that this was in motion before I had gotten to the store or spoken with anyone there. He was working from the conversation with Mike Powell. He even adjusted the price during the warranty replacement paperwork to cover my gas use!
I am a very satisfied Agri-Supply customer!

Re: A bit ticked at Agri-Supply (re Caroni mower)
Thanks, for the question.
I spoke with one of our mechanics and he said that basically you just loosen the 4 bolts holding the plate the gear box sits on ( so you can get your hands under it) then the 4 bolts on the gear box and slide it, you may want to spray a lubricant so it will slide easier, then put on the belt, slide gear box back then tighten screw #13 on drawing, this will provide the tension on the belts and then tighten all 8 bolts. The gearbox acts like a tensioner. I have attached two documents from caroni on the gearbox and belt. They show alignment of belt and instructions. If you need a manual, I will be glad to mail you one... If you need to speak with one of our guys, call us at 1-800-345-0169 and ask for Vernon or Gene..
They will be glad to offer any assistance you might need.

Can't help but notice how Mark is "watching over the store" as this thread is one year old. Another seldom used method of good customer service.
Way to go, Mark!Let your tools do the work.

Re: A bit ticked at Agri-Supply (re Caroni mower)
WOW- exemplary service.
I have ordered a couple of things on line in the past and have been happy. The closest store is about 700 miles from me so, that is my only option.
I tell you..... seeing something like this makes me a little grumpier about some of the ineptness I have experienced at some of the "local" stores I deal with.
Well done Mr. Powell!I thank God everyday for all of the blessings he has given me- especially for the one's I do not recognize or see!

Re: A bit ticked at Agri-Supply (re Caroni mower)
I wonder if anyone else happened along and fell into a sweet deal on one of those faded '08 units?
