Draw bar with pintle hitch for batwing?

Need pintle hitch on back of M-7040 to pull batwing with lunete ring.

Not 100% sure what you are asking.

But Pintle hitches are easy to buy, just costly. In the pictures of the Pintle and home made eye, about to be used on a sheep's foot. They are also made without the ball option, I think the cost a little less.

Look and you can see the 4 bolts that hold the actual hitch. Just make up a bracket to bolt it to and attaches to your draw bar.

A larger AG tractor would probably have a pintle type hitch option. Our large Deere farm tractors have a clevis hitch for puling large implements.

I need one for a medium 70HP Kubota to tow a 5,000lb batwing.
All i have is the stock flat square drawbar.

Yes, but I'd still need a ball/pintle combo bolted to it. The ball/pintle I have has a 4 bolt backing plate. Might be able to weld my drawbar to the back of it and strengthen it with gussets?

I like the JD one shown above, but thought it'd be nice to have ball/pintle combo just like on a dumptruck pintle plate apron.

I'm going to check with Kubota parts tomorrow.

I though I've seen somewhere where they make a bolt on 2" receiver tube for the draw bar. Then you can just throw in anything.

Or you could buy the 3 point trailer mover setup and throw in the pintle.

I was thinking all you needed was a pintle. That bracket bolts onto your draw bar so you can drop a 3/4" pin though the hole on that bracket, through your ring on your mower, and then through the Kubota drawbar.

Your draw bar should have several holes in it. Just drill 2 holes in the pintle mount and bolt it down. See Picture

Even though your implement weights 5,000 pounds, it will never take any where close to that to pull it. 2,- 1/2" bolts will be more than strong enough.

Also shown are the pintles on my trucks. One on the dump truck would lift a 747. The 2 on the flat bed not as strong. Lower one just bolts through square tubing. Top pintle is real heavy duty, but the mount area not reinforced.

I have seen conversions for the Lunette Eye, I think at rental yards. If these are built heavy enough for the HEEAAVVY tongue wt. that gow's with the batwings, you would be able to stay with the std tractor drawbar. There is a place in PA called Weaver Dist. not sure if they have a www but they have lots of trailering stuff. (if you get Lancaster Farming they have an ad in there) If you go with something other than the factory drawbar, keep in mind that there is a dimension relating to the pto and the pin hole on your drawbar that you'll need to stick to.
