Does anyone have one of these?

FXP Skidding Plate - Wallenstein

I'm curious what you think about it... and what it costs. I'm thinking about building one... but I really like the looks of this one!

Thanks for any help. :D

No. I don't have a 3pt attachment meant to skid logs.

However, I have used my 3pt receiver hitch with a boom arm I built for it. Actually, I built the whole receiver hitch part that bolts to a Cat 1 draw bar. The boom pole as it is telescopes from 12" to about 20" and pins to the top of the top link above the draw bar. Easy enough to pick up the end of the log with the boom arm. Then put a chain on it to the draw bar.

I have skidded several logs about a 24" diameter by 20' long. Took all I had to do it, but worked well.

Good luck

Thats a really nice unit. But if I was going to go that far at $900 I would go the extra and get a winch. But that is just me. Your situation my be different.

Reviving another old thread. Anyone have an FXP20? Does it really weigh just 98 lbs? It looks like it's heavier than that. How do you store it when it's not attached?
