BTW, I also use a ball peen for a chipping hammer! LOL Have to get a real one one of these days!

Ieee, theres no sides on that thing! I bet it throws $it all over the place! Thats one of those deadly bushhogs that Leonz must refer to when he talks about how dangerous they are! Good looking though!

Well i went back and looked and its only open on that one side.

I thought about that also. and its still not too late.

But the water is only part of the issue. IT is the debris and and weeds and such that build up and make it a PITA to clean. They would probabally just clog the holes anyway:confused2:

They might clog, but they also might keep water from puddling. Wet debris is another problem, but if you lower the water level the wet debris won't stay as wet for as long.
As far as that open side, do you have the piece or are you going to make the piece that goes there? Probably not hard to make.

The peice you are refering to is actually a removable side. Yes I still have it. It is made to be removed. I assume for when cutting open fields, that the grass side-discharges instead of staying under the deck as long to help maintain a faster speed and use less HP. I just havent put it back on yet. I think I am going to try it out as is for now, out back where there is no buildings/people around, just to see what it does.

Yes indeed it is. It has a 90HP gearbox and a 3" cut capacity. :thumbsup: I dont think my 29PTO HP kubota is going to hurt it at all

Thats kinda along the lines of what I was thinking. By other BH is a model 105, and it is open in the rear. This one is closed in the rear, so I dont see any harm in leaving the side off. (depending on surroundings of course). I think if I am in an open lot, I could cut faster with it off. But obviously I would leave it off and point it toward the road, houses, cars, people, etc

I just hope this thing lasts for awhile. Because I could NOT get the stump jumper off. I usually like going through the gearboxes, plus it helps when prepping/painting. But I had a 2' pipewrench and a 10' pipe on that, and I was hanging and bouncing on the end of that 10' and couldnt budge it. Not even with heat.:confused2:

Owell, I just know if I have any gearbox problems, I just better figure on a new output shaft, because I think I am going to have to cut the nut off.

Outstanding job!! I like it! Yep, that tractor won't the BH, but I would be worried more about the 1000lb BH hurting the tractor! Does the Kubota pick it up pretty easily?? Do you have weights up front? Or a FEL to offset the rear weight some??

Hey, if you just get a few years service out of that thing you will have gotten your $270 dollars worth! You can always get close to that in scrap value lol. Good luck and enjoy it. Let us know how it does throwing material out the side with the leftside cover off. I would be interested to know.
