I guess working 70-80 hour weeks slows down my postings . We have been blessed with a huge increase in sales and "good help" is hard to find around here. I ran a ad in Craigslist and on Facebook for 3 weeks for a good Christian Employee and pay based on skill level and got zero responses. Ken Sweet

Do you suppose it was the need for "skill level" or the "good Christian" part that scared 'em off?

When hiring new employees, the very first thing I mention is we do random drug testing. I've literally had 'em to stand up and walk out the door without another word when I brought that up!

From looking at the empty Church Pews on Sunday morning, I would say it may have been the Christian part. If I had asked for dope heads and people drawing gumment checks and wanting to get paid cash under the table, I feel like I could have thousands of employeesKen Sweet

Not wanting to get into a religious debate here, but just cause no one is at your church dosent mean there are no cristians. I grew up in a church and beleive but dont go to church. Am i saved? Only God knows that answer and only he and i know our relation ship. Sorry if i get this tread shut down as i am rambling more than i should or intended on. But thats what gets me cristians goal is to spread the gospel not talk about or look down upon those who dont attent or regularly attend "your" church or a church.

I step down, personally mean nothing to you Ken. This type thing just gets me. Also its to say those who are not cristian are not good people.

Attending Church "certainly" does not make a person a Christian, however, Church attendance, good deeds and works do set a example for our kids and our neighbors. I agree 100% that the "Christian" relationship is between each man and God. Ken Sweet

Ok thats all that relly needs to be said. I see that you see my point! I dont want me to be the cause for your thread getting closed. Hope you will find a good person that is honest hard working and has some skill or at least is able to learn fast.

I am surprised they didn't flag your add Ken. Quite a few years ago when I was looking for a nanny for my daughters the paper refused to run the add if I added the word female to the add and things are a lot more pc now than then.

I know on all the native corp. jobs and many gov. jobs it says that native or minority preference will be used in hiring but it is illegal to say that white preference will be used. You would think for a private business that you can hire whoever you want but be careful someone of a different faith doesnt try to sue you.

The simple act of "going to church" doesn't make a person any less or any more of a "Christian". I can go stand in my garage.....and that doesn't make me a car...

IMHO, a "good Christian" is more of a person who lives their life by example and not simply by words or their attendance to a religious service.

Until just a few days ago, I had an employee who SERIOUSLY believed that he could be an absolute heathen, do drugs and drink constantly, cheat on his wife, lie steal and treat others like dirt, then go to church on Sunday and start off all over again every monday morning with a clean slate. Who knows....Maybe he's right. Not my place to judge him. But it IS my place to not facilitate or condone that sort of behavior. I'm not perfect, and probably never will be, but I'll never stop TRYING.
