4-in-1 The "4" in 4-in-1 bucket

Re: The \"4\" in 4-in-1 bucket

Gerard, the weight number for my bucket came from longs. Your numbers look more correct to me. My concern right now is with tying in the 4 in one hydraulics. It seems that the 440 JD loader uses a 'regenerative' system. Simply put they pressurize both sides of the bucket rams when dumping the bucket. This business of putting equal pressure on both sides of the piston will not work well with the clam-shell rams. So the piping up of a 4-way bucket is a complex event. Mark has written an excellent post on this task and how he solved his hookup. Long tells me that their 5 foot bucket weighs about 350#s and the 6 foot about 400#s.

George I'm sorry I can't help you out on this one. I don't have a 4 in 1 but my mouth waters at the sight of one. It's on my want list among other things. Good luck with your plumbing I think you can figure it out with the help of Marks posts. Pretty good reading also Rich H has posted some pic's of his bucket in action. He added a couple of pins to hold logs a great add on. Here one of the pics he posted.rich's bucket in action
