BX25 Goodies

--Adding to my pile of goodies as I eluded to a post or so above is a Carson 7'X14' I.D., 12,000 GVW Dump Trailer. We threw on a 10K landing gear at the tongue, it makes it EASY! This thing is solid... Hopefully I am "paying it forward" to someone else who is tryin to determine a trailer sized right for a BX25 and can see what I did. This trailer is almost made for this tractor It fits NICE, just swing the boom to one side and Viola!

--The BX25 FEL Bucket clears the side walls, not just barely but not w/ tons of room to spare either. The push-bar on the front of the tractor hits the rubber only on the tires making it a no-scratch, no-dent, no-brainer, even not right in frount of the tires it is easy to see where your at. I loaded up one side then the other and off we went to the dump!

--The outriggers even lower perfectly just inside the walls of the trailer. I added many "D" rings inside, removable if I please and bought Rachet Straps (Custom Rachet Straps made MY WAY, rated at 3333LBS touted at 11,000 I think it was. I paid a whooping $13.50 EA for the rachet straps! They come configured in HUNDREDS of flavors and many cifferent colors as well.

--Pictured below is some more fun today. Yes, it was overloaded, I think this pile off Asphat was 9200lbs w/ a 7000 rated payload on a 12,000GVW trailer. It was the last load, no problems pulling it w/ the mighty Isuzu Turbo 4-banger in my NPR and the trailer hydraulic took it like a man and got the job done w/o a whimper.







--The loading ramps tuck away inside the trailer frame. You can see two brass locks, very rear lower) that hold the ramp-doors shut when you lift.







-- I also added Jari USA tie down lugs. They are a nice set except I trashed there rear bolts and upsized to a 3/8"-16 SS Hex Bolt X about 4.5" long. The fronts use existing frame hardware.

Pretty sweet. What tooth bar is that? BXpanded has one in prototype I'm kinda waiting to see about, but that one looks pretty cool!

There Fabco teeth...replaceable teeth, held in w/ roll-pins. This is the ebay special toothbar by Iowa Farm Equipment. $295.00 Free shipping. It is SOLID. I measured the bucket ID at a smidge under 46.5" ID, after calling them I ordered the 46.5" unit and it slid in just right. I did slip in a washer as a shim on one side only. I drilled with a 3/4" hole saw bit. I had it all done in 15 minutes. It came w/ bolts and lock nuts too! Ohh, I did add some real thick washers, about .375 worth between the locknut and the toobar, the bolts are a lil long. I am impressed, it is solid and fits tight. Can't wait to backdrag w/ this babay and loosen the spoils! I could have used it last week ripping out an asphalt driveway...

More Goodies...

The following 2 tools are a MUST HAVE (IMO) if you own a BX25.

The flare nuts on the hoses at the BH Valve Block are REALLY close together. I looked at every tool known to man and in the end the most expensive Snap On tools worked. Don't waste your time looking at others, I did, just buy these tools. Trust me...


Regarding the BX25 and the leaks at the BH Hydraulic Valve Block I have been having issues with THE SNAP ON TOOLS WORK. !!! I was able to get that flare nut to tighten easily a tad and no leaks yet. Next time I use it will be the real test but initial start-up and test showed no leaks.

CROWFOOT, OFFSET 3/8 Drive, 11/16 , 12 Point (AN850115B)

And the SOCKET, FLARE NUT, 11/16 6-POINT,3/8 Drive (FRX221)

Here is a picture showing both tools on the offending flare nuts! Between these two tools I do believe A man can fix most of, if not all hoses in this area w/o taking each hose off from one end as the factory suggests.

THE EMP Thumb works well, not usre if I have posted about it yet, documented well in posts by others, but I found it to be a great support for a pair of log tongs...

Thanks for posting all the goodies. Could I ask a small favor to post or email some pics of the hydro lines and quick connects for the Back Hoe. Im looking into extra hydro lines for my 2660. Wondering if the BH connection or the Aux. kit would work best for me.
Ill be making a purchase from Jery at My Tractor Tools. He has pretty kick butt grapple system coming avaliable soon.
