cheapo ways to move dirt

Everyone is overthinking this. Even on construction sites where you have all the equipment you need including dump truck, short distance hauls like this are done with the loader or backhoe. Yes they have larger buckets, but still, the same principle works. 200 feet or even 200 yards is not a great distance to move the dirt with the FEL. You will move it faster by just using your FEL and hauling it to the dump site than you would by loading it in a trailer or even a dump truck. By the time you have loaded it into the trailer or dump truck, moved the truck or trailer, dumped the load, returned the dumper vehicle and then you still have to take your tractor and spread it, you could haul it with your TLB and have it spread as you put it down. Also as a bonus, it will be packed quiet well by all the trips over it with the tires.

200 feet; stick with the FEL.

That was what I was thinking, with loading and unloading and transporting, etc, I was thinking I would just stick the hydro in M, and be there before all of this got done.. just an opinion.. but thats mine too.

++ Im thinking ultimately you will be spreading the dirt at destination. So small loads like a FEL bucket and repeated [short] trips will essentially allow tailoring dumps and limit the spreading. You will also be packing the fill more effectively -- a little at a time. Not knowing your specific situation :confused2: but it seems like the way to me. :confused3:

Won't your putting in the "plastic drain pipe" help with moving less dirt? The bigger the drain the more dirt to spread out:thumbsup:
