Anybody know the width of rear wheel on the JD 71 planters?

I think there may be different styles - this one (and I think it may be most common) is concave in the center and has small treads on either side.

Reason I'm asking is I bought a 1-row (hasn't shipped yet) and I may have to run my tractor tire right next to the first track left by the planter wheel in order to make my rows narrow enough...

The width between my tires is 44 inches; outside width of rear tires is about 70 inches.

I've calculated this out several times, trying to figure the best way to plant... My head hurts :(

Thanks for any help!

The rear drive wheel is 6" wide on my 71.

Assuming your rear tractor tires are 8" wide and your run back in tire tracks your row spacing will be 52 inches (60" - 8"). If you run on the inside of your tire track your row spacing will be 44" (60"-8"-8"). This is assuming you run your planter dead center between your tires. Your must also think about how you will cultivate your crop.
