Good deal on Woods Batwing?

Found a really clean, lightly used BW180. Still has 98% of its' factory paint on it. No signs of abuse or actually much use at all. This is the standard duty 15' Woods batwing. Cut capacity is only 2".
How would you rate $8,000 if it's in near perfect condition?

around here, used needing tlc, but working hogs go int he 1500-2500$ range, and 'ready to work, no problems in the 4500-6500$ range.

probably a regional thing.

we have lots of horse farms down here that turn over mowers every few years.. so batwings are always for sale at decent prices.

I really like the Woods Batwings. Their heavy duty batwings really seem to be built as good or better than most others. Even this medium duty cutter seems built better than the competition.

This time of year prices should be down. I got a new Bush Hog 2515 (medium duty IIRC) a few years ago for just a little over $10k in mid summer so $8k for a used one this time of year sounds like a nice but not great price.

Woods requires a minimum 45 HP to run it. I have 71 engine HP & 62 PTO HP. So I should be OK.

New price is between $11K-$12K.

That's a bit low for the "5 hp per foot" rule of thumb. I'm running an M9540 (95 hp, 84 pto) and I wouldn't want to go a whole lot less. Really heavy pasture will bog it down.

The other issue is the weight of the tractor, especially if you are on hilly terrain. My 9540 is 5300# plus loaded rears and 700# of weights on the front. Even at that, the front is a little light on some turns.
