Quick hitch category 1 lift pins

Does anyone make implement lift pins for category 1 that would help with a quick hitch so that the lift arms don't slid off the lift pins when hooking up? I'm looking for pins that are designed similar to the quick hitch adapters such as these:

Currently, I use the washers on the ends, but they are a PTA as there is too much play and the hooks sometimes catches the washers, making the hookup difficult.

I don't think the bushing are in that price range. devildog1 must be referring to something else. Maybe a link would help.

Tractor Supply has some lift pins that have two nuts. A regular lift pin has a shoulder but these have a nut instead so the lift pin can be extended out a ways. That should make hooking up easier. I have used them with Cat 2 lift pins.

That extended length should allow the use of the washers. BTW, if you put an extra small washer on the Pat's washers (if that is what you have) it holds the large washer away from the QH a bit better.

gwdixon, that's what I have is the washer which Pat uses. It has too much play when attached. I assume you can just bend an additional washer and tack it to the larger washer, which is the top left blue washer in your pic. An easier fix would to just buy longer lift pins and use the washers I have.

I agree, the Pat's washers are a bit loose to leave on while hooking up. However, the longer lift pins w/2 nuts will make the connection area large enough to not catch the washer.

If you get the longer lift pins and tack a small washer onto the large Pat's washer you'll have a double fix to the problem.

The reason the double small washer was tacked onto a large washer is because my Pat's are Cat 2 and hooking them up to a bushed Cat 1 lift pin would catch the washer every time.

Another hint with the Pat's washer is to mount the washer with the curved part on the bottom of the lift pin. The bend provides some guidance for the QH to slide more easily up and onto the lift pin. You may have to loosen and rotate the lift pins to have the lynch pin hole vertical.

they are cat I on all spacing BUT the diameter of the pins. The pins that the lower claws latch on to is the same as cat III lower link pins. and I think that the upper claw is cat II also(at least that seems to be the way it is on my IMatch) I don't know why but that is the way every quick hitch I have ever seen is set up. The deere bushings that came with my IMatch sucked so I took one as an example and ended up buying 2 sets of bushings( one set cat I to II, and one set cat II to III) and that matched the diameter of the Deere bushings. I didn't have to buy anything for the top link though, the IMatch does not use the normal toplink pin, it grabs the spreader below the normal pin.

Plows from the 1970's or so had pins that worked kinda like you want. They end up looking like the blue one in the pic above, but many were cat 2 size, some cat 3.

If you know how to look up parts on JD Parts finder, one is part # A13378

Another design is more of a pipe section, with a bolt: A13100

Diagram is on a 145 plow, in the hitch section.

Anyhow, really liked those bent washers from JD, the first one mentioned, they protected the pin real well, kept things in place and protected, didn't lose them in rough cornstalks or nothing.
