I just bought a 1620 with a MM mower, no loader, but it has all the hydraulics on the front for a loader/snowblower.

Can soemone tell me the model number of the snowblower that would mount up to this 1620?

Please forgive the question but what brand
is the 1620?

The other issue to keep in mind is that a snow caster
for a front end loader will cost considerably more than
a rear mount typically being three times the cost of
a rear mounted unit.

1995 Ford 1620, with mid mount PTO, and FEL HYD controls, just doesn't have the loader on it.

So...

No one has a Ford 1620 with a Ford/New Holland snow blower on the front?

I'm failing at Googling what the correct model number would be.

EDIT: Ok, looks like a Ford 715a Snow Thrower is what I'm after. It seems all Ford snow throwers were 715a, and there are many versions, rear 3pt mounts, and front mounts for various tractors. Looks like a needle in a haystack kinda search to find exactly what I would need to fit a 1620.

I think I'm going to try to retro fit an old truck snow plow to the 1620 instead of trying to find a snow blower.

I already have the old plow, just need to make a subframe to attach the plow and HYD cilinders for the lift & angle.

A sub-frame mount is a very good idea. Also, depending on your typical snowfall amount, if you don't already have some, you may want to consider a good set of chains. Your 1620 is only marginally bigger than my 1510, so I can tell you from experience that chains will be a must if plowing more than a couple of inches. These are pretty light tractors and get stopped by large drifts pretty easily if plowing barefooted.:ashamed: With chains, however, they are pretty amazing!

I second that --for a set of chains. I use all 4 on my Kubota B7100.

I live in Western New York, I will definitely need chains...

The tractor is primarily for mowing, so it has turf tires all around.

Live in MN, and to be honest never have seen a front mount blower on any of the compact Ford/NH tractors. Everyone uses rear mount blowers around here.

Is yours front wheel assist, it would be pointless to put a blower - or even a heavy blade - on the front of a 2wd compact tractor......
