Wow, your son did an incredible resto job on it! Just curious, but I wonder what that unit sold for when it was new?? I guess the $4k in parts sort of becomes a moot point. If you want it done right and plan on getting your money's worth out of it, it's worth it to spend that money.

If you have the 4 sensors that go on the planter units and the 4 row monitor that goes in the tractor cab, that is what he is looking for. Let me know. Ken Sweet

Good used JD planters of that model or comparable are selling in the $6500-$8500 range. This planter should do us the rest of our farming lives. Ken Sweet

Awesome Job on that !!!.. as for the metering system try to find a used 6 row meter i would think that it would be easier to find then just use the first 4 on the meter and leave the other 2 blank.. i would think it be easyer and cheeper to find just because the 6 row meters are alot more common in my area anyways.
