the adapter is Y shaped or more of a U with a tail.the front two prongs go on the quick hitch where your top link fastens and other end connects to the implement. i took the hook off and trimed the metal with the holes in it off and just use the adapter. all holes in the adapter are 3/4. you do have to get off the tractor to hook it up but it works good for me.

Thanks for taking the time to make all the videos I am sure they are appreciated by everyone here.

I noticed that some of the pins were under sized for the quick coupler I have used top link cat 3 pins for the top link hook, usually I can cut a pin into two pieces and weld in place for two implements. The lower links I get the bushings for clevis hitch or the quick hitch adaptors from Tractor Supply. When I can find them I will buy extra bushings for the toplink as I still need a few of these.

You should not use the QH without having bushings, larger pins, or QH adapters as seen here: Quick Hitch Adapter Kits
or
Quick Hitch Bushing Kit, Cat 1 - 0265325 | Tractor Supply Company
or a bushing
Category 2 to 1 Lift Arm Bushing - 0268454 | Tractor Supply Company

Also, the top link on your mower should really float. The way you have it hooked up may add stress to your links and mower. Here is a top link adapter that has been mentioned already, and I recommend you use it with your mower.

SHF141145 TOP HITCH ADAPTER BRACKET - Agri Supply

The adapters shown above can be ordered through a few places including Northen Tool, TSC, and Harbor Freight. You HAVE to call to order it from HF, they do not have it online or in store. Item #29309, Description "93691 Hitch Adapter", I just called and they have it in stock and it's 10.99, I will be ordering one myself here soon. I've read you can use the "order from printed catalog" feature online, but I tried it and it is not found. Dont bother asking at the store either because the part does not show up in their system.

I'm curious how you think that bracket is gonna pin to your toplink. What you actually show in that photo is the adapter bracket intended for use with non-ASAE implements. See pg 6&7 here.

It's hard to tell, but was this directed twd me?

I'm not sure if you use one of the generic QH's, but as you can see in the photo I posted the adapter clearly pins onto the same place the QH pins to your toplink/centerlink. (Perhaps I used the term top link incorrectly?) What it has done for many is allow the use of non-QH compatible implements to be used with the QH; basically when the hook just wont work. Sure it also works for not ASAE spaced implements as well, but I can tell you MOST people buy this adapter so they can use there non-QH compatible stuff, whether it's designed using the top to bottom ASAE spacing or not.

As you can see on his mower if he were to hook the floating pin instead of the fixed mount/pin the bolts for the hook would limit the floating ability (which some have worked around using cut pins, welding, or whatever), but if he were to remove the hook and use the adapter he would get his float back. Perhaps the float feature is not that important, but to me it seems like allot of added stress on the implement and links. Most implements with tail wheels have this float built in, in one way or another.

Yeah, it was your photo. And yes, I had the same hitch, that same non-ASAE implement adapter, plus a floating toplink adapter (that faced the tractor). I posted based upon the photo as initially viewed on my old laptop. After your reply I viewed it on my new HD monitor. At first glance it appeared (on my laptop) that you had the adapter facing the tractor. But seeing it in HD, I realize it's facing the implement. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

what is the width of the quick hitch for the attachments. The upper link isnt a issue; ill just fix it like you did, but between the pins... need to measure all my attachments to see how compatible it is..
the harbor freight ad says "Includes pins and clips. Inside clearance: 27-1/2" so im assuming all the attachments need to be over this distance.
and "Draw pin adjustments: 18", 19", 20" and 21". what is this telling me?

Gotcha. That's actually a photo I found on the site for reference, just trying to help the OP see what I was talking about.

It's 27.5" in between the lower hooks, so to speak. So your implement cannot be wider then that where the pins mount. "The Draw Pin" is where you would normally attach your top or center link, which is instead where the QH hook is located. Those measurements represent the height difference from lower pin to upper "draw pin" on your implement. I believe ASAE standard is 20". However, with the adapter posted you may be able to get a bit more travel over the 18-21" range, that I cannot tell you for sure but most Cat 1 implements should fall well within this range.

FYI: I picked up my HFQH on sale for 99.99$ -20% off coupon found everywhere online, making it around 80$. Well worth the price IMO, and if something does not fit it, just remove it with the last used implement. I personally feel the non-adjustable iMatch is a less useful tool due to the lack of adjustment in the top hook, and the inability to use the adapter mentioned here for non-QH compatible stuff. Yes the hook bolts can get in the way in some cases, but as I said there are plenty of documented ways around this.
