I came across a 6 foot 3 point snow blower that I am likely going to buy. Problem is I really dont need it, prices is just too cheap and I cant pass on it. my plan is to turn it for a profit and put the money towards a good blade for my skid steer.

What is a good 6 foot working snowblower worth? I dont plan to make a killing but I want to make some money on it and get on to what I really need which is the blade for the skid steer.

I would suspect that if you are by the Rio Grande not much. :D Sorry jeff just couldn't resist.

New around $2000 or more depending on model and features.

Guess a lot depends on how old it is and the condition. I sold a 64" 3pt. blower that was about 2 years old for $1200. I paid $1700 new in 2004 and hardly used it. A friend of mine has an old one in good shape he's selling for $850. Another guy just bought a used 60" for $500. As mentioned, new ones sell for $1700 and up depending on how big they are and brand. If I was buying a good used blower I'd probably pay up to a grand or so. Any more than that I'd buy new.

I bought a 76" John Deere 3pt blower for $750 in Canada. I could probably sell it for $1000 without trouble. It seems Cat 1 implements are always in demand.

My new price quotes were a lot higher that those. I think low 2k to 2.5k for 6 foot and in the 3's for a 7 foot.

We are talking used... My JD 76" is probably 20+ yrs old but in still very good condition. I had a problem finding a good snow blower and bush hog. Like I said...Cat 1 implements seem to be in high demand and you have to move at the speed of light to get a deal.

I am in southeastern Indiana.

I was thinking price it around 1200 wont take less than 1000. Not much profit but worth the trouble.

What is the price you're going to pay for this blower? If you buy it for $500, clean it up and sell it for $1,200 to $1,500 or more...than it might be worth doing. But if you buy it for $900 and sell it for $1,000...it wasn't worth it when you factor in your time.

It is worth doing. The deal was good. All I have to do is pick it up. I am gonna powerwash it off and see what I make.
