Default Feedom Hitch

I recently purchased the Freedom Hitch system and have converted two implements so far.......a rock rake/ black blade and a box blade. So far.....I am convinced I did the right thing. The hitch is spendy but the speed of hook-up more than pays for itself. I have yet to attach the system to a brush hog- no grass to cut now. I was wondering if any of you with more experience than I have any restrictions or concerns with the Freedom Hitch and any implement. My tractor is a kubota 2910.
This spring, I plan to add a hydro. top link to the 3 point. My dealer has promised the system will work great with the hydro top link. Any comments?

Rick, I just can't afford it right now, but I think you're doing the right thing. I've seen the video of the Freedom Hitch and it looks great, and it'll probably be even handier when you get the hydraulic top link.

heehaw, call 1-800-586-3811 or 1-800-859-3028 and ask for the Freedom Hitch video and literature.

Have you tried a long metal pry bar to align the attachments with the 3PH?

I was having problems one day and remembered the long pry bar I got at one of the home stores. It allowed me to move around the 650-700 pound box blade to get the 3PH aligned just right. Its a bit more work aligning the rotary cutter since it is a heavier and much bulkier. But it works.

Hope this helps...

My personal "breaking point" came when it took 45 minutes to hook up my rotary cutter one evening causing me to lose the fading light and not get my work done. The time delay was mostly my fault due to setting down the implement on uneven ground. I have gotten better but the Freedom Hitch seems to solve all the problems. It even works on that same uneven ground.

I do not know about a video...I could not find a website for Freedom Hitch. My dealer had the info and I did find some additional information on this site.

My main reason in getting the FH is I have alot of clearing and leveling ahead. I found myself switching from the box blade to the rock rake. Thats why I want the hydro top link.

The website for the Freedom Hitch is

http://www.freedomhitch.com

Click on "Make The Connection" and you will see a link for ordering the free video. That's what I did and I received the tape in a matter of days.

Harv
Thanks for the web address. I ordered the tape. SHHH....do not tell anyone I already bought the system. Did I miss this site in the links area of this site. Perhaps it was under Midwest instead of Freedom Hitch.

Thanks

RAllen, I have a hydraulic top link on my L3010.
It makes hooking up to heavy attachments easy.
I can operate the top link from the ground,
once the top link is connected you can drag or push
the attachment to line up the lower hitch arms.
But to answer your question, I think it would work great
with your freedom hitch.

Rick - If anything, a hydraulic top link just makes the Freedom Hitch work that much slicker.
