Rear Blade Frontier Land Plane

No, they're not from China. Don't make assumptions unless you know for sure.

AgriEase is from China and LandPrides is identical to it so I presume it is - don't know about Frontier. There's been worries about excessive/premature wear on the blades and teeth of the LandPride unit. I'd suggest it's due to China's inferior metal.

I have no idea who builds the Frontier landplanes so I won't speculate on this. I can say that when building mine that the two 6"x96"x5/8" double edged blades were about $440. With plow bolts this amounted to about half the cost of the materials. With almost three years of moderate use there is no appreciable wear on the blades and no notches.

Dredging this thread back up from the dead... :)

Anyone else using a Frontier land plane? I like the price of the LP1172, but I like the weight of the LP1207 a lot more! :D

I have the LP1172 as seen in my signature below and wouldn't use anything else to maintain my slightly less then 1000 ft driveway. A box blade is not the right tool for this job and requires interaction by the operator to raise and lower the box blade to obtain the same results the land plane would obtain with no interaction
