Rotary hoe for pasture
I need to aerate and overseed my pasture this coming up spring and was wondering if i could use a rotary hoe to loosen up the soil and then spread the seed. Or use aerator first, seed 2nd, run aerator back over. I have access to both rotary hoe and aerator. Would really like to buy a 7ft 3pt drill but cost to much

Re: Rotary hoe for pasture
Do you mean an actual rototiller or a rotating cultivating hoe like the Lilliston Leyland rolling cultivator?
If you have heavy sod not much but deep plowing and gypsum is going to break it up enough to spin cast seed.
You would be money ahead hiring an actual grass drill like a Brillion sure stand seeder afterits been plowed and disc harrowed.
