Hi
Anyone have any experience with value leader implements. I'm looking at their 5" PTO chipper as a possible purchase.

Thanks

I got a 5' fail mower from them a couple of years ago ,and have had a few problems with it . First of all the lowest sitting on the adjustment would not line up on the skids ,so i had to grind some off to get it to line up. The roller on the back that it rides on broke on one side next to the outer bearing ,which I had to get welded so I did both side . The seal around the shaft is leaking and that happened only after i'd mowed my field once(8 acre ) not enough to tear apart yet I just keep an eye on it . The blades where not hardened steel so they bend and wear more . I guess what they say rings true "You get what you pay for" ,but sometimes that's all you can do. I found out that it pays to research , research ,research then do it again, good luck and if you get it, let us know what you think of it.

I have their 4' flail mower. I think it's a good value --- I've had a few problems with loose bolts. Those were all basically on delivery --- once I found them all and tightened them up, no issues since. I've used it a half dozen times and have about 8 acres total on it. I wouldn't buy it to mow all day, every day --- for occasional use it seems just fine.

I have one of their 68" flail mowers. Works OK on my 6-acre hayfield clearing stubble. The threads are stripped on the grease zerk that's on the pulley end of the main shaft. Need to fix this before I use that mower again. So far that's the only glitch.

Good luck.

I'm glad I spotted this thread. Hahahaha.

I'll be spending the extra money and buying a Caroni.

Thoughts on if the 26 hp (20 claimed @ Pto) my tractor makes will be enough for a 5' unit or if I should stick with a 4'.
