First, renewed thanks to Bdavis for alerting all of us to the steal of a deal on the 72" Ratchet Rake at TSC. As noted on his thread, I snatched one up yesterday.

Has anyone used it yet to work the ground up for a food plot or garden? Those were some of the uses touted on their website and the one of the main reasons I bought it.

I'd like to hear about anyone's experience doing so. Thanks.

I guess if nobody has done it yet, I'll let everyone know how it does when I try it in the future. Their video made it look like it works pretty well.

I have not used it for a food plot but have used it to remove a lot of brush. Then I spread some grass seed were the brush was and ran a drag over the ground. This was an area of about 3/4 acre. Works for grass so I can't see why it would not work for a food plot.

I've never seen one of these... a bit strange. What's it do?!

There is a good video on you tube of a guy preparing an are for a food plot. Just search ratchet rake.

The rip & dig looks like a neat concept. Already have a ratchet rake and it works well. Have worked gravel and dirt with it and quite satisfied.

I have not used for clearing/prepping for a food plot. I have only used for clearing brush, but yea it should work fine I would think, here are a couple pics of what mine did before I disced.
