I've got a 5' AnBo Grapple that I think weighs a little over 600lbs and its tines are 3/4". The thing is built super tough but I've still bent 2 of them a little. I'd probably worry a bit about 3/8" stock although weight is an issue. My tractor's similar to yours I think and my grapple weight is definitely the max I'd want at the front. I looked online and my model's discontinued but the equivalent model uses 1/2" stock. Bigger ones still use 3/4". They do even have some using 3/8" stock but they weigh considerably less.

Joel, Mind saying what you paid for that- I found their website-sure looks heavy but I'm sure pricey?

Good morning all! I wanted to post a quick reply about the thread above. I want to apologize to the tractor community for our mistake on our website regarding the tine thickness. We have corrected that mistake at Skid Steer Attachments Pallet Forks Hay Spears Bobcat Cat John Deere Mount Plate. We find that there is a fine balance between strength and weight and after years of fabrication we believe we have the perfect balance with our grapple attachments. If anyone purchases an item from us and it arrives and is not what they expected we will have it picked up and issue a full refund. Scott, thank you for allowing us to make this transaction right for you and we know you will have years of enjoyment out of using the grapple.

Happy Wednesday to all!

Bill

Well there, I guess that shows that they do care about what people think of there attachments. They did offer my money back in full ,if I wanted to return it. Because of the mistake in the add they offered me some money back. After talking it out, I asked for a
Tractor Drawbar Trailer Hitch 3 point instead of cash, they said yes . Thanks to Bill this has not turned into a nightmare, thanks.

When you get a little time on it please post a review. I'm going to be looking for SSQA forks this summer. Even though it's not the same I would still like to know how well the grapple holds up and its quality.

Red Horse, I bought it 7 or so years ago and paid $2800 through JohnDeere. Seems high now. Don't know. It is a Borgford BG5, has 3/4" thick tines and is serious strong. I found a different link and it appears they do still sell it. Grapple

After all this talk about Skidsteer I just realized I bought a 3 point Drawbar Trailer Hitch from them too. Ordered online, real good price, free shipping and it shipped immediately. Excellent fab and paint job guys.

Thx- checked out the website too-looks very well made, but looks like Wildkat IS best bang for the buck. I sent an e-mail to Anbo and they responded-over 3 grand!

this is my story - keep in mind you get what you pay for...

This is the same company that I bought a set ez hitchs off ebay from.. What I got was a Pats knockoff (looks exactly the same as pats - NOT what the pic looks like on their site)..

the hitch was not the same quality as Pats - part of the tab holding the jaws open actually bent just by me lifting it up - "Pats" (the company) actually sent me a set of the real ez hitch in return for me sending them the set i bought for a sample of patent infringement

LET ME ADD - this was 5 yrs ago, so the quality may have changed since then

I have the same model and love the design. I bent a couple tines up front on the upper and lower jaws working with really heavy logs. What I did was made a small template of the lower tine and had one for each tooth cut out and laminated (welded) to the original tooth. The lamination is stronger than a 1/2" piece of plate. For the top jaw I had some triangular web pieces cut and welded in. That took care of it for me. I love the design and compactness of the grapple for a two cylinder set up. Be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water.

Good luck

I have a Titan grapple as well that I'm using on a 30 hp Kubota (L3010DT). I have a thread on it in here somewhere. It has done everything I've asked it to do. You won't regret keeping it.

I just thought that I'd let you know that I've spent a little time fooling around with my grapple . I really like the way it picks up things and you really can rake the ground pretty clean. I cut a few trees down, limbed them up and cut the tops off . Took my tractor, started at the top pushed all the limbs down both sides of the tree ,picked them up and piled them . Went back and picked up the tree (10" round 20' long) and backed out and held on to it and cut it up into stove length . Very cool to be able to do this after doing everything by hand before.

Now , the grapple...I see that I'm going to have some supports welded between the top tine points , something like the bottom ones.
Picking up brush ,logs... no problem!
When picking up a large rock ...problem! I saw that one of the points bent some  This could have been by me putting the weight of the tractor on the tips trying to get a hold of it , or just by trying to pick it up.
I took a maul and put it back with a hit or two.
I'm going to do what brewdog did for the top jaw, on his ,he had some triangular web pieces cut and welded in. I can see that yes it would have been nice to have had it made out of 1/2" T-1 but I'd lost a lot in what I could lift. I still think that it just needs a few tweaks to it and it will be everything I need in a grapple.
