I am interested in who makes the best middle buster and/or sub soiler. I only need a single tooth. I am wanting this for a trenching project.

I can't find the gr100 on their website. How do you like your 4310 StanInCalif? How does it pull the subsoiler? My 4310 only has turfs.

The GR100 weighs 85 lbs., has 15"- 19" adj. shank, shear bolt protection, and optional shovel. Most of the JD dealers around here carry Gearmore. I paid $225, incl. tax and freight.
The 4310 isn't here yet. I recently updated my profile, and included the tractor, as it is due this week. I don't anticipate any problems pulling the GR100.

Twanger, a critical design feature on a middle buster/subsoiler is the height of the shank, especially the top part, the distance from the 2 lower control arm connections to the top link. If too short, when you have it in deep, the toplink is angled acutely down. Since the toplinks is in compression the top link can get bent. This somewhat depends on the height of your tractor. Especially for trenching, you want a TALL main shank /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Also get one that will accept a spear point for added depth /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
