I'm having a heck of a time trying to identify my recent craigslist purchase. It's been spraypainted Kubota orange and there is a faint kubota sticker on the arm with a jack-o-lantern, but I'm pretty sure its not Kubota. Does anyone recognize this backhoe attachment?

I can't help you with what make the backhoe is. I can safely say it is not a Woods like I have.
I see from your pictures that you have it attached to the 3 point hitch and it is laying on the ground. You probably know this already but if not here goes. You should not operate a 3 point hitch mounted backhoe unless you have the proper braces to lock the 3 point hitch so it can not possibly move up or down. If you leave it as you have it when you apply down pressure with the outriggers or when digging, the backhoe and 3 point arms will rise up. You can get crushed between the seats or the backhoe and roll bar.
Good luck identifying your backhoe. Some one on here will be able to help.

It does look a lot like the hoe in this thread here on TBN

Thanks KubotaSam! What braces are you referring to? I am a 3 point novice, so I am a little worried! I had remove the lateral stabilizing bars from the the 3 point do to the narrow "interface" of the two lower points. I would obviously adjst and reattach those, but am I missing pieces that sercure this thing more?

Here is a snapshot from a page of a Bradco Back hoe manual. They refer to them as lock out arms. They form a triangle with the heavy duty top link that locks the 3 point arms rigid.

I think this may be a Kubota B629... anyone else have one with the six levers?

Once you figure out what it is for sure you can check with them and your tractor manufacturer. Some sell a subframe that protects the tractor and hoe from flex/damage.

It's a K629 from the late 70s/early 80s. Here is a photo of one
with a subframe for a Kubota B8200. A friend of mine picked it up
for about $500. The subframe does not look factory-made, but
the owner who sold it had it mounted to a B8200 that he sold
separately.

I do not know who manufactured these for Kubota, but it does
seem to pre-date the Woods OEM era.

The 619 and 629 backhoes were made by Brantly, as best I can tell. I just picked up a Brantly version, and the manuals I find for those Kubota units are identical to the information I find for the Brantly. Mine looks just like yours, with minor differences in the subframe, and color, of course.

I would use a HEAVY DUTY rigid top link. Had a neighbor killed using tractor top link when the top link broke.

I believe this might be a Brantly #617-A Bachhoe to wheel horse "D" series tractors I do have parts numbers for this type of backhoe. They do not make this backhoe anymore. I have been looking for one for 2 years.
