I recently sold my Woods TSG50 stump grinder with only about 50 stumps under its belt. Great grinder, but I was selling my 4700 tractor to upgrade to a larger 5M series, so I decided to sell what I had as a bundle along with my W.R. Long grapple.

Anyway, I picked up the SG100 today, and it is a monster! I haven't even been able to unload it from my trailer yet. Here are some pics:

Trailer load of goodies I picked up today:

The grinder on the pallet was so heavy I had to chain it to my lift to move it to the back of my trailer!

Tomorrow I plan to get it off the trailer using my car lift.

In case you're wondering, I'm in between tractors right now. Sold my JD 4700 and waiting on delivery of my 5085M. So I have to be resourceful when dealing with heavy objects for the time being.

Other than sheer size, an interesting difference between the TSG50 and SG100 is that the 100 only grinds in one direction, where the 50 did both. The 100 will do more at a time however (about 10", where the 50 was maybe 3-4").

Can't wait to try it out!

50-100 hp is what the manual states. It comes with cat1 pins installed with cat2 pins included in the package.

I paid $6100 out the door with me picking it up on the pallet. That includes 3 spare teeth. :D

I finally got the monster unloaded.

Here it is raised above the trailer. Notice how the pallet is buckling from the weight.

That thing is a BEAST! Great scale shot with the hammer. What is the weight of it??
Got me re-thinking going the dynamite route....:laughing:

Any updates on how well the beast performs? Have you Broken in the stump grinder yet? I'd love to see some pics of chips flying! If you need any stumps to practice on I'd let you try it out on a few hundred of mine. :)
