I'm looking for a simple , low budget , way to add removable forks for scooping small piles of brush with the FEL on my SC2400. Thx

I unashamedly copied a simple set of brush forks built by another TBN member, but I can't remember who. He had a detailed thread of how he built them. Anyway, here are some pictures of my version (slightly modified from his to use scrap steel I had available). The forks clip over the front lip of the bucket and are held in place by two short chains with a bolt welded to each that connect to brackets welded to the back of the bucket (one on each side of the bucket). They work very well and are quick to attach or remove.

That's a great setup.

Here is my attempt at brush forks. I built them last fall and have used them a lot and I am happy with how well they work. I got the steel from a welding shop for $70. I used 1/4 by 2" flat stock and 3/4" rebar. I have broken two of the rebar tines and had to replace them. I was thinking about going to a stronger steel but my friend said maybe we should stay with the rebar rather than transferring the breaking point to something that is not so easily fixed. I think he made a good point so for now we are just going to keep things as is. The last picture is one with the brush forks and my Christmas present (home made grapple).
