I need a simple bracket to bolt onto my tractor bumper that I can add a Reese type ball to so I can push around equipment that has Reese hitches. A sturdy steel L shaped bracket would work. There has to be a market out there for such an attachment, but I can't find anything like this and can't make one myself.

Bruce,
Thanks! The Jeep Wrangler TJ attachment is what I had in mind. I've been looking for such a scrap piece to do what he did but haven't found it yet. FYI, I checked with Reese-hitch company and they don't have any such attachment. I suggested they consider making one with a long enough vertical part of the L that buyers could drill holes in to fit their needs.

there are some listed on ebay for the Kubota B and BX. (fabworks IIRC) I'm about to make one cuz I think I have a little better design.

I haven't found any off-the-shelf that will work. I have contacted a fabrication company in Maine, and they are working on a solution to fit my tractor. If they come up with something that works, I will post it on the Forum.

have you considered a receiver on top of your bucket?
I can't remember what the front "chassis" looked like on my ford. can you bolt anywhere the mower deck would mount? If so you can use steel angle welded to a receiver tube-simple.

My 1310 has a sturdy (1/2" steel) bumper that is the ideal spot to put a ball hitch attachment. I have front weights hung on that bumper now and can easily take them off and on. The company in Maine is looking at making a simple L-bracket or similar attachment for a ball hitch that bolts onto the bumper. They will get back to me on what that will cost. I can keep you informed on that by regular email if you are interested.

Yep I'd be interested- you can PM me but I'm sure everyone here would be interested too.
The ones you can buy for the Kubota BX are just a 3" length of receiver tube welded to a flat plate that bolts to the bumper. Any local welder can make it for you. Then you could take a ball mount tube and weld a bar to it to hang your weights on.
