Is this Rhino a Hydraulic drive flailmower or
is it operated by the power take off from
the rear using the three point hitch mount?

Will your mule have enough surplus hydraulic
fluid power to run it if it is hydraulic drive ?

Is the boom mower equiped with a finish flail rotor
for good grass or brush shredding rotor with hardened
side slicers/Y blades or scoop knives?

It is hydraulic run of the pto . It has it's own pump . I could not see the knives for the snow but it is designed for ditches and creek banks.it is going on my m7040. Thanks

If this is new unit the mowers manual will tell you the
the required horsepower to operate it.

IF it is a used unit you should either ask the dealer
if they know what the P.T.O. horsepower rating
requirement is for the mower to operate it properly
or contact Rhino Directly to ask this question if the
dealer is not willing to do this.

SO, the mower attachment has a separate reservoir
to power the mowing head then?

If this is the case the P.T.O., has to have enough
horsepower at the Power Take Off to rotate the pump
at 540 R.P.M. The Mower will have a required horsepower
rating to operate the mower head and boom arm.

Thanks for the reply. My dealer tells me my tractor will handle it. Has anyone had experience with a boom mower possibly this model? Like possible week spots they are known for?

Just space your wheels out in the back so it will be as stable as possible when your arm is streached out. and keep the joints greased it seems like mine always stop taking grease and i have to take the zerks out and clean them. nothing as bad as a boom arm with a bunch of sloppy joints from worn out bushings. If it useing machanical linkage controlers make sure you have them located so there is plenty of slack so that when you move the three point hitch down wont pull the cable and break them. that one cost me 300.00 in repairs.
