Whats it worth? Its a Pronovost P-503HS dump trailer. The auction is over, and i have a bid in, but im curious as to what you think its worth. At least it might serve as a resource for future shoppers. I searched high and low to try and find a sale online to give some guidance on what to bid and found nothing.

This trailer is about 8 years old, 4'x6'. Hydraulic dump with no manual hydraulic jack so the trailer mush be hooked to tractor hydraulics. The trailer has hauled salt and is pretty rusted on the inside of the box. Box floor is ok. Some rust perforations in the sides, in the corner where it meets the floor. It will need to be sandblasted and the sides replaced at a minimum. Hydraulic system is unknown. Tires are 50%

New these trailers are about $3500.

I found a 4x8 Normand 1920-8 (4'X8') on sale prices at $2995 including the hand pump and fold down sides. Seems like a great deal. The King Kutter XB (4x6) sells for about $2400 new with the hand pump.

All that in mind, whats it worth? Bear in mind it looks 10x better in these pictures than in person:

See, this is what i ran into. No used tractor trailers out there. No idea as to value :thumbsup:

I hope to find out next week if i was successful. At least then we'll have a starting point.

WOW. Im speechless.

Just received an email for the sale price of the trailer... $750 !!

Thats borderline insane. I bid $250 and thought it was too much. Remember its over 8 years old and pretty badly rusted. Worn tires. Used commercial etc. etc.

Viewing was only one day at one time 2:00. There was only one other guy there and he was completely disgusted with it. I have to wonder if somebody bought it without seeing it in person. If so, they are in for a BIG surprise.

Based on the pics and your description, I wouldn't have given $125! Rustbucket. Be glad you didn't get it for $250.
