I cannot find a company in the Northwest (Seattle area) who carries any implements other then the branded ones like John Deere or Kubota, and they sell for twice the price that they are available in any other part of the country. Nobody seems to carry a range of attachments or even much in the way of parts. I’m not opposed to ordering mail-order but shipping on big stuff is a killer. When I’m cobbling something together it is really helpful to be able to see and hold the parts before purchasing them. Anybody know of a dealer or source I’m missing? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

David:

Beautiful. Reminds me of when I lived up on Whidbey Island. Where in the Seattle area are you?

I didn't own a tractor when I lived up there but I know there was quite a bit of farming going on on the mainland up that way. Maybe if you get up north toward Mount Vernon or Bellingham or even over the mountains toward Yakima you'll find a greater variety of equipment available. Just a thought.

DavidB,

Where are you in the great NW? There are a few of us out here. You have stumbled upon a real problem. A couple of us have ordered implements from First Choice and the shipping was a fairly large amount. The most cost effective way to do this would be to get a few guys together and order a bunch of them. When I bought my box blade and mower I paid 250.00+ in shipping but the cost savings in the attachments themselves still far outweighed the shipping costs. I haven't found any local places that sell good stuff reasonably priced but there is a place that advertises here that is in Olympia. Check the banner at the top of the page "Featured Dealer" and you should eventually see it.

Beautiful Home, Nice tractor... We have the same problem here in So. California... Higher prices than East of the Rockies. It would be nice to have a resource to order from that shipping did not kill you..

Or is that beautiful tractor, nice home /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Thanks a lot. You can tell by the grass and trees that mother nature's irrigation system has been working well. I'm in a little town called Sammamish. It's between Issaquah (jeeze who comes up with these names) and Redmond, about 20 miles east of Seattle. Far enough out to have some quiet, close enough in to have a job!

I'm going to go check out J&I Power Equipment in Olympia next weekend. It's a 160 mile trip, but I have to find someone with a reasonable stock of equipment. I sent them an email when I saw their banner on TBN but they never replied...
Here is a picture of my apples and pears. You can also see walnuts, raspberries and grapes. There are a couple of tractors in the photo so it should be ok...

I am jealous... I guess you have to have rain to have that kind of green. With just the sun you get brown... Maybe I need a second home and tractor...

That's funny. I live a bit north of Seattle, there are several tractor dealers in my area. Barnett Implement in Snohomish, carries or can get you just about anything. Landpride, brush hog, rankin all kinds of hardware.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Tony,

I used to get my Bollens tractor parts from them but the last time I went by there they were gone from the location I knew in Monroe. They are still around?

DavidB,

Welcome. I'm not far from you at all. I'm in Ravensdale. I'm pass through Issaquah/Sammamish regularly. Barnett Implement is a pretty good tip. I called them this week and they had tiller blades in-stock for my older tiller. They were very helpful.
