New landplane build for L&G and subcompacts

You might be the one to build a 7' then. Steve with his 4 and 8 foot landplane, Gordon with his 5 foot, my 6 foot, so all we need is a custom 7 foot now with Martians name on it.

Oh no, your putting me up to a challenge

Had to know that the x749 could handle the IMatch and the landplane so tried it out. Works great, I raised it and stood on the front cross member to bounce it and the front wheels stayed on the ground. That is with just two front weights, so with four weights I should be good to go.

I built this plane to work with this mower. At 48" width and 405 lbs plus the IMatch should put me at about 115-120 lbs/ft.

One question though. I was wondering how much room you have between the top of the blade and the cross pieces. Do you think that if you get material built up in front of the blade it can get through that tight spot OK or are your cross pieces more forward than they look in the pictures ?

i noticed how your landplane seems like a better fit 48in than the others store bought brands. Now how about a TnT for that X749

Gordon, thanks for the reply and interest. There is a little over 4 inches clearance the material seems to flow across the blades well> Just gave it a test run, seems to work okay but I will need to get a hyd top link for it to work the best.

The blades are set flush with the skids for lawn prep work, that said it will still load up with gravel rather easily as in the first pic below. Made a couple of passes up and down the drive and grabbed another pic.

Well I hope it works out well for smoothing beneath trees and tight spots, sure will save some labor costs.

I plan to add a hydraulic top link next week or so, just have to make some hard lines and get the diverter valve.. I could plug it in the second circuit as is but want to be able to use the front couplers for front mount equipment too.
