Well after some heavy use today, just about to finish big pile of brush and had a belt failure. Anyone have any suggestions on changing these things? Looks like a nasty job. Also I did a search and an old posting indicated a NAP A48 1/2x 50 belt is the correct replacement. I have an e-mail out to Northeast Implement.

Just trying to get a jump on things.
Thx

Here's a link to download the manual... Not certain if the desired information is in it.

Requires a fair bit of disassembly. The loosen the tensioner and roll the other belts off the pulley. remove bearing caps and hoist the flywheel up with a chain lift such that you can extract old belts and insert new ones. reseat flywheel on bearings, replace caps, torque caps down, retension.

easy peasy.

DH-Manual says drop the top pulley first- I gather you are saying that is not a requirement. Kind of looks like there is enough room to pull the flywheel up mjust enough to get the belts on.

just enough, as I recall. look it over closely, your year/model may be different than mine.
