There's a thread over on green tractor forum by a member that has the Woods unit and he's having some issues. I believe that Shaver is the manufacture of the Woods unit also. It's just rebadged from what I've read.

Thanks Great, will check it out. Woods grinder is made by Shaver, but looks different. Looks like the shaver has two arms, to the woods one. I am now leaning towards the shaver or the baumalight unit, a 3p24.

I had read somewhere that Shaver made the Woods units too.....but they do not look too similar in pics I saw?? I beleive the Shaver pivots more centerally than the Woods - which may be a good thing IMO. Not sure who Shaver uses for teeth or wheel.

They do look different, but I call Shaver an the rep. told me they made the Woods. I guess they are different designs and weights. Still going with Shaver or Baumalight, they run about 1k more then the Woods.

Worksaver also has a unit that looks real close to both the Woods & Shaver.

Just ordered the 3p24 Baumalight stump grinder. It will be at my tractor dealer on Monday. After I pick it up and attach it to the tractor, I will post some pics.

Woods is a good product, I just needed something a little heavier. I will be adding it to my stumpgrinding business.

Was just on the phone with Woods tech support about my SG100 grinder and Woods makes the STG50 in-house, but the SG100 is made by Shaver. Its their model SC-50 (which is confusing given Woods STG50, which is NOT the same model at all).

After many months of waiting, I'm finally getting my new tractor that will be capable of operating the SG100. I hope to finally try out my SG100 this weekend and will post my findings. I had a STG50 before that I sold with my previous tractor. Worked great, but my new tractor is Cat2 and 75 PTO HP, so the STG50 would have been a bit undersized.

I did have a bit of wobble with my STG50, but easily controllable as the OP stated. That said, it was a great grinder as others here can attest to. The design of the SG100 does not look to lend itself to *any* wobbling. Note the large plates sandwiched above and below the lower cross member.
