I see multiple options for HD rear blades. Hydraulic angle, offset & tilt cylinders; cushsion valves; side/end plates; skid shoes; rear tail wheel. Any "must have"? Any not worth getting?

I am thinking Hydraulic angle and offset cylinders and skid shoes.

what size tractor?

Most of those options you mention only show up on something like this

but you need a 65-80HP tractor to make use of it.

This is what I have on my Land Pride RBT45108.

I have Top and Tilt, so not as much of a need to get the hydraulic tilt on the blade. I have always had enough tilt with just the 3pt tilt cylinder. I do not have any need for the other options, but that is me with my own set of circumstances.

What model are you considering and how wide?

I liked the Bush hog, Landpride, Rhino and Woods. All rated for my 85hp or better. My target width was 8' but I found a 9' Bush Hog 121-09 used for a good price.

How much tilt can you get each way w/tilt lift link? The 121=09 only has an angle cylinder, but offset and tilt can be added.

Depends on your 3pt geometry, but some where between 10 & 15 degrees. Doesn't sound like much, but it is usually more than your tractor can pull in one cut anyway. Get that Bush hog if you can, that is a VERY good blade and the offset hydraulic is easily added.

End plates are a must in my book as they give you additional spoils management options.
